The authors discuss all dust formation sources in mineral mining processes and present the analysis of dust formation conditions. Data is included on dust concentrations at work places of mineral processing personnel. Health-related studies performed at coal preparation plants and ore dressing and concentration facilities have revealed the main sources of air contamination of plant shops, and recommendations have been issued on the minimization of the personnel exposure to the harmful effect of the total scope of workplace factors.
