The author analyzes a case study of an efficient innovative solution and inactive response of Russian engineers and experts from mineral mining, processing and metallurgical companies to its commercialization. This presents an obstacle for industrial production competitiveness in conditions of Russia’s WTO membership. Some measures are proposed to be taken by Russian enterprises and joint stock companies to improve their efforts and attitude toward innovations, including the establishment of efficient innovative technology centers, etc.
