Kögel is presenting its tipper trailer at Comtrans 2017. The two or three-axle Kögel tipper trailer is now available with a load volume of 24 m³ and 27 m³, as well as extensive standard and customised equipment. The Kögel tipper trailer is also available in various body and wall thickness combinations. The body is available in a thickness of 4, 5 or 6 millimetres and the side walls in a thickness of 3, 4 or 5 millimetres. Thanks to the modular concept, simple, quick and cost-effective replacement of the tipper body components is possible at any time. There is no need to fit expensive wear plates.

The variant of the three-axle tipper trailer featuring a 27 m³ load volume that will be shown at Comtrans has a 5-mm-thick floor and a 4 mm thick tailgate made of tempered Hardox 450 steel, as well as side walls made of high-strength 4-mm S700 steel sheets. This combination is optimally suited for daily practical use with rubble, gravel and aggregates of all kinds.

Extensive standard equipment

The Kögel tipper trailers have an optimised wheelbase for top load distribution, giving them enhanced handling and manoeuvring performance. In addition, the tipper trailers have an extra 170-millimetre tipper body overhang. This makes the tipper semi-trailer perfect for use in road construction. An optionally attachable chute is therefore no longer necessary. This not only saves our customers money, but also weight. The lamp holders can be separated from the mudguard holders and can therefore be easily and quickly adjusted in height to get more distance from the asphalt or the paving machine. The locking device on the underride guard can be swung upwards to prevent soiling during tipping. The locking catches automatically retract into the rear end during unloading, protecting them from soiling. In addition, this tailgate lock ensures that loose stones cannot get in the way during closing and allows the side walls to join smoothly with the rear wall gate.

A wide range of individual features

As well as special equipment such as toolboxes, a ladder, a water tank, the various wall thickness combinations, a hydraulic rear wall gate, and much more, sliding roofs are naturally available too. Customers can choose between two sliding cover manufacturers, each offering both manual and electrically operated roofing systems. As an option, customers can also choose to fit an extendible ladder to the bulkhead in combination with the sliding roof. By simply releasing a rotating bolt and butterfly nut you can climb down into, and up out of, the tipper trough more easily and safely. Kögel tipper trailers in all available wall and body thickness variants can also be fitted with a fully insulated thermal tipper body.

Cathodic dip-paint coating: lasting protection from corrosion

On the Kögel tipper trailers, the entire vehicle frame is given long-lasting protection against corrosion using nano ceramic technology and cathodic dip-paint coating, supplemented with a coat of UV varnish.
