Selection of drilling equipment and oxidized ore deposit development technology and choice grounding

The authors discuss a number of options for the development of oxidized molybdenum-copper porphyry ore deposit in Kazakhstan differing in the choice of equipment and methods of oxidized ore preparation for heap leaching. Feasibility of development options is compared. Parameters of drilling and blasting processes in the open pit have been optimized based on the maximum internal rate of return as a criterion. A development option is proposed providing for high efficiency of oxidized ore mining.
