Polyethylene or wear-resistant steel: what is preferable?

The article presents a superlight, superstrong composite construction material synthesized on the basis of superstrong high-modulus polyethylene fibers. The material has been developed to enhance shock resistance, lining resistance to wear and to minimize freezing-in of ore materials.
