Safety Rules for underground coal mines aspects of application in practice

The article is a brief analysis of Safety Rules for underground coal mines in terms of the composition of a multifunctional safety system and its application in practice. The aspects of gas control and methane presence in mine air are discussed. The contradictions are revealed of the applicable Safety Rules and the Federal Law “On Industrial Safety of Hazardous Production Facilities” in terms of the implementation of on-site design supervision and procedures of making addenda to design documentation. The authors also present their propositions on the procedures of portable gas analyzer application and editing of the name of the emergency warning system.
