The author presents the structure of the integrated geoinformation base for the prediction and estimation of coal deposit reserves, and description of the main principles of its formation. It is proved that the geoinformation system is helpful for the development of qualitatively new models within the framework of mining and geological information systems (MGIS) and it also provides an opportunity of the objective transition to the computer-aided design of mining systems.
