The article contains the estimates of unfavourable factors of the working environment, mainly, such as noise and vibration. The authors discuss vibration and process-related noise in underground mines, and present noise and vibration intensity data. The classification is also given of working conditions, as well as vibration and noise exposure limits. Special attention is attached to the data on the sources and intensity of harmful effect of equipment used in surface mining. The article also acquaints the readership with new regulatory documents on the assessment of harmful exposure. The statistics is also provided on occupational morbidity.
