The article presents a mathematical economic model of overall mining process mechanization at open pits, which is based on the total package of models of ownership, operation, maintenance and repair cost behavior for each unit of equipment and procurement of open-pit equipment and machinery fleet, as this package provides highly reasonable selection of complete mining equipment sets for particular flow sheets thus forming an efficient structure of overall mechanization with due regard to the performance forecast for each unit of equipment depending on the variation of natural and mining conditions and equipment reliability during a planned period by the minimized net present value criterion.
