Assessing the compressibility of soils by results of tests with a triaxial compression machine

G. Shvetsov, L.Kulikova, V. Kazantsev
Accurate modeling of the stressed state of soil requires tests of samples with a triaxial compression machine. In case of confined compression test procedure a soil sample under local load is subject to limited expansion, which is similar to that of the small cube in soil ground. The article describes major points of the procedure.
