About some aspects of radiation effect on human health

The article contains the statistics on the reserves of hydrocarbon and nuclear energy sources, and the forecast on their depletion.

Real and exaggerated consequences of the Chernobyl calamity are discussed. The author presents the analysis of different hypotheses of the radiation effect on human health. Data is provided on median and annual radiation doses in accidents and from natural sources, as well as the effect of low doses on human health.

The forecast is also presented on the mortality risks for the population by source in Russia, and the scale of mortality risks from the main factors for the country population. The author presents the statistics on the main social and economic indices of energy production by type.
