Self-contained system for the development of offshore soils at low depths

The article analyzes opportunities of sea-bed mineral deposit development by a self-contained system based on a scoop clamshell. A physical model was designed of the mining equipment sinking and floating-up, and mathematical dependences were calculated describing the mining equipment behaviour in the liquid medium for a variety of hydrogeological conditions.
