The article presents the results of theoretical evaluation and experimental research with a physical model of forced ventilation of blind workings. It has been found that dynamic pressure losses occur in ventilation piping. A fan forms static (excess) pressure in the face space to force out the outgoing flow from the face beyond the boundaries of a blind working. While choosing a fan type it is important to take into account all air pressure losses from a face to the mouth of an underground working.
