It is possible to provide this through development of fundamental and applied research based on effective application of the technological and analytical equipment as well as physical and chemical methods to study the material and mineral composition. For this purpose, the Khabarovsk Federal Research Centre operates the ‘Centre for Mineral Research’ Core Shared Research Facilities. The paper contains a description of the Centre, its structure and interaction with the host organization and educational institutions. Such integration has resulted in graduation papers, dissertations, patents for inventions, as well as high quality scientific works indexed in international databases. The basic research directions together with a brief description of instruments and equipment available at each division are presented. The research and development work carried out at the Centre makes it possible to fully meet the needs of its users. Over 20 different organizations use the Centre's services annually.

Keywords: Core Shared Research Facilities, analytics, sample preparation, physical and mechanical properties, mineral processing
