Abstract: The publication presents the results of a simulation study into the probability of resonant mode in electrical systems of coal mines. The study was conducted using simulation modeling in the MATLAB software suite. A simulation model has been developed for the electrical system of a coal mine with the possibility of connecting a bank of power capacitors and a detuned reactor. A potential has been established for occurrence of the current and voltage resonances at harmonic numbers corresponding to 6-pulse converter devices. The result of the study helped to establish dependences of the total coefficients of the harmonic components of voltage and current at fixed values of the detuned reactor inductance. An assessment was also conducted of the possibility of resonant mode occurring in an electrical system with linear and nonlinear loads when it includes a bank of power capacitors. The conducted research will improve the stability of the electrical system of the coal mine.
Keywords: coal mine, power supply system, electrotechnical system, higher harmonic components, resonant mode, bank of power capacitors, detuned reactor
