Voith extends its range of OnCare.Health monitoring solutions to include an easy-to-use system for industrial fan and pump drive trains. It employs state-of-the-art sensor technology and connected components to increase the system’s availability. Further, it allows for easy and reliable monitoring of operating data as well as use in advanced IoT applications such as predictive maintenance.

Voith’s OnCare.Health family of monitoring systems has long been established as a sustainable way to increase the productivity of plants and equipment. The latest iteration was developed to boost efficiency in industry applications.

Data-driven optimization
Combining the company’s long-standing mechanical expertise and its ever-increasing digital know-how, Voith’s data-assisted systems are designed with specific customer and industry requirements in mind. OnCare.Health IOLIS (IO-Link Instrumentation System) offers operators of pumps and fan drive trains an easy and reliable way to facilitate equipment handling along the drive train while laying the foundation for additional functionalities afforded by the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

Maintenance 4.0
It achieves this by means of a system of smart sensors. They allow for precise and quick data transfer, as the signal is output digitally with no need for conversion. A robust smart display is used for advanced data

visualization. Operators gather valuable insights into the machine status and maintenance requirements. By basing decisions on real-time data, they can proactively initiate maintenance operations and prevent errors and downtimes before they occur. This results in increased uptime and reduced repair and maintenance costs, thus lowering the drive train’s total cost of ownership (TCO).

Quick and simple integration
Given its smart and simple design as well as its use of standard bus protocols, OnCare.Health IOLIS is easily integrated into existing bus-controlled drive trains. Since it only requires a single signal line, minimum wiring is needed from the master module to the control room and within.

Easy maintenance, maximum compatibility
OnCare.Health IOLIS includes self-teaching devices, making it an easy-to-handle, low-maintenance option. Its interfaces are standardized to ensure the highest compatibility and maintenance without the need for special training.

Additionally, with OnCare.Health IOLIS, operators benefit from Voith’s global service network that ensures local support as well as quick delivery of spare parts if and when replacement is needed.
