Dr. Ralf Geßlein has been in charge of the Industry Division as a member of the corporate board of management of Voith Turbo. He succeeds Martin Kaufmann, who will leave the company at his own request on June 30, 2022 to take on a new professional challenge.

Since May 01, 2022, Dr. Ralf Geßlein has been in charge of the Industry Division as a member of the corporate board of management of Voith Turbo. He succeeds Martin Kaufmann, who will leave the company at his own request on June 30, 2022 to take on a new professional challenge.

With a lot of heart and soul and his tireless commitment, he has made a significant contribution to the success of Voith Turbo in recent years," says Cornelius Weitzmann, President & CEO Voith Turbo. "I am pleased that with Dr. Geßlein, we have been able to win an experienced successor who has extensive expertise and will bring this to the company in growth areas that are important for us."

Dr. Gesslein studied electrical engineering (specializing in power engineering) at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and received his doctorate in control engineering. From 2005, he worked for Siemens in various functions, including Vice President Product Management Large Drives Industry, Senior Vice President Drive Systems and Executive Vice President Oil & Gas and Process Industries. Most recently, as CEO, he was responsible for Siemens' global wind generator
business, which he integrated into the Flender Group in 2020 and successfully continued.
