Evaluation of the flotation efficiency in a centrifugal flotation machine

Abstract: The article presents the results of experimental studies conducted using a test bench with a centrifugal flotation machine with peripheral discharge of the concentrate of finely ground ore materials.The problem of separating minerals with similar technological properties is analyzed. The main challenges in processing of minerals with similar technological properties consist in their separation, and traditionally it is carried out by increasing the selectivity of separation during their processing through the use of reactants with the targeted action, as well as selective changes in the technological properties of the minerals using various energy effects. It is noted that when designing new flotation machines, various methods of influencing the mineralization process are used. The article discusses the use of a centrifugal flotation machine with peripheral concentrate discharge during the secondary cleaning of the main flotation concentrate. The optimal reactant mode was selected, which had been previously studied and tested, and which helped to achieve the maximum extraction of the valuable components into the froth product of the main flotation.The obtained data from X-ray phase analysis of the concentrates show that the flotation efficiency increases when a centrifugal flotation machine is used for secondary flotation cleaning of the concentrates.
