Abstract: The number and complexity of technical, technological, organizational, social, economic, environmental, and other challenges associated with dump truck operations increased significantly during the development of deep levels in open-pits and transition to the combined mining methods of ore deposits. The efficiency of the haulage system under such conditions depends on numerous factors. Modern multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods enable high-precision accounting of these factors. This study aims to develop a dump truck selection methodology based on multi-criteria analysis. The research framework includes analyzing current dump truck models for the surface and underground mining operations and designing a selection methodology using the MCDM techniques. The proposed approach accounts for the majority of the known factors that influence dump truck selection, quantifies their impact, calculates the criteria weights, and enables comprehensive model comparisons. Computational experiments using the hybrid BWM-CRADIS method at one of the Ural-region mining enterprises helped to identify the dump truck model best aligned with the ongoing transformation of the haulage system.
